Karen Fincher is the alluring author of Silent Partner, The Voice of A Poet and Why I Sing, A Book of Poetry. Feautured in Arts of Poetry Magazine, Karen has also spoken at Buckeye, Arizona Public Library's Mentor Nights and performed at Goodyear, Arizona Arts and Culture Commission's Story Rise. Her words inspire readers to reflect deep within the soul to find their voice.
Born in Washington DC, raised in Spain and California, Karen embraced her love of words at the age of seven, when she began recording her most private thoughts and feelings. After a successful career in finance, at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Karen returned to her first love, writing, trading spreadsheets for blank journal pages. She currently resides in sunny California.
Silent Partner is a collection of poems embracing the unspoken dreams and fears trapped within the mind of a poet. These highs and lows are captured within a season from autumn 2018 to summer 2019.
Why I Sing is an inspirational poetic, effortless read that guides you to ponder and reflect on your life. Raising awareness to the many challenges that seem to lurk patiently in the shadows, but at the same time promoting a positive outlook on life, without judgement, or blame.
